The Committee was considered profile for 125 Bills, 83 of which were scrutinized.
Following the Committee´s recommendation, the Parliament adopted the Law "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Improvement of Organizational-Legal Principles of Prevention, Detection and Cessation of Activity of the Organized Crime and Corruption" (Reg. No. 3170). The Law "On Amendments to certain Laws of Ukraine regarding Prevention of and Counteraction to Corruption" (Reg. No.5398) was adopted.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine scrutinized the following Bills drafted by the Committee: on Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine (re Prevention of Legalization (Laundering) of Illegally Obtained Income) (Reg. No. 4819); on Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine (Reg. No. 4728).
Pursuant to the Law "On Organizational and Legal Principles of fighting Organized Crime", the Committee passed 21 Resolutions regarding alteration of structure and staff size of the special subdivisions in charge of fighting corruption and organized crime.
Jointly with the board of the Main Department of the State Service of Ukraine, the Committee held a sitting "On the Law Enforcement and Organizational Aspects of Implementation of the Law "On preventing and fighting Corruption".
For the period under review, the Committee scrutinized 1,4 thousand appeals, complaints and claims of individuals and legal entities.
Within the scope of the Third Component of the Millennium Challenges Corporation Threshold Program, the Committee held a working meeting jointly with the All-Ukrainian Special Board for fighting Corruption and organized Crime to discuss the Bills on the conflict of interests in the activity of public officials (Reg. No. 4420). The participants of the meeting also discussed the Bill on the rules of professional ethics at the public service and prevention of the conflicts of interests (Reg. No. 4420-1). The attendants focused their attention on the Bill on the governmental financial control of the public service (Reg. No.4472) and drafting of the Code of Ethical Behaviour of the Police Officers.
